Stafford Castle
The all-weather 1,000 capacity grandstand is purpose built each year for Stafford Festival Shakespeare against the striking backdrop of the Castle ruins. Stafford Castle dates from the period following the Norman Conquest in 1066. Lands held by the defeated Saxons were shared among the followers of William the Conqueror.
