how to book
You can book in person, by phone, by post or online. When paying by post, cheques should be made payable to Stafford Borough Council and should be sent along with your contact details, performance date and time and number of tickets required to the theatre address.
Payment and Ticket Collection
Tickets can be paid for by cash, cheque or credit and debit cards, and we accept Access, Visa, Delta and Maestro cards. Reservations are held for five working days. Any reservations not collected will be released for sale. The theatre management does not offer the option to exchange tickets or refund money. Only in exceptional circumstances, as deemed by the theatre management, will an exchange of ticket or refund be given. Returned tickets may be offered for resale but are subject to an administration charge.
Discounts and Concessions
Concessions are available for many performances and apply to children under 16, full time students, people over 60 and people claiming unemployment benefit. Proof of status may be required for concessionary tickets. Concession prices are shown in brackets where they apply. Family tickets: 2 adults, 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children, only available from the Box Office, not online, not available on all performances/events. For many performances group discounts are also available for parties of 20 or over. Children under 2 years will be admitted to the theatre for free, but they must sit on the lap of their respective parent/guardian. A ‘Babes in Arms' ticket must be booked by the adult when purchasing tickets, any children using a seat will be required to pay the normal ticket price. Ask the Box Office for further details.
Access for Disabled People

Wheelchair spaces are available and should be reserved with the Box Office when booking tickets so we can ensure all seating requirements are met. An accompanying adult may also be brought if assistance is required, charged at 50% of an adult ticket price.

There is lift access to the Gatehouse Theatre and ramped access to the MET Studio as well as adapted toilets.

Disabled badge holders can park outside the theatre in the lay-bys or on Market Street after 6.00pm everyday. Please leave access to Market Street for emergency service vehicles.

Both theatres are equipped with an Infra-red system to assist the hearing impaired. Receivers can be reserved from the Box Office for use with or without hearing aids.

Seeing and hearing guide dogs are welcome.
Box Office
The Box Office is open 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday. On a show/performance night we will remain open, for collections and door sales until the show start time. Call 01785 254 653. There are no booking fees.
