Following last years total sell out and now back by popular demand, two of the world’s most popular musical films are coming to Shugborough in an amazing outdoor picnic movie experience destined to become the regions hottest summer ticket.
 
The enormous outdoor screen will be set against the breath-taking backdrop of the famous mansion house and thousands of picnickers will dance the night away as they watch blockbuster ABBA inspired movie MAMA MIA (PG) on Friday 20 August or join in a mega TIME WARP during outrageous cult classic musical THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (12) – on the Saturday 21 August.

To get you in the mood each evening also features a roadshow with music, fun and competitions before the movies begin, plus a full outdoor bar and catering outlets are available.   You are of course welcome to bring your own tables, chairs and picnics - Gazebo spaces are also available to rent for the night.

The 1st Annual West Midlands Festival of Wings, Wheels, Speed, Steam & Horse Power has it's maiden outing here at Shugborough, where approximately 1,000 vehicles will be in attendance and up to 60 Heavy Horses. gravity defying aerobatic displays and Captain Neville's Vintage Flying Circus. you will be able to eat, drink, sing and dance to the sounds of Glen Miller. The 50’s and 60’s Rock ‘n‘ Soul American Pavilion with Rock n Roll & Soul Bands playing throughout the day and finally the Glam Rock & New Romantics Pavilion There will be over 100 trade stands and a dedicated area for Aerojumble and Autojumble. Get in the mood and arrive dressed in the style of your favurite period.

Step into a magical winter wonderland at Shugborough.  The Mansion House is completely candlelit and beautifully decorated with real flowers, holly and traditional trimmings. 

In the Servants’ Quarters costumed characters tell stories of Christmases past.  Outside enjoy brass bands, carol singers, snow showers, festive children's entertainment, real reindeer Plus a large heated gift & food marquee.

5.00pm - 9.00pm

Visit Santa at the fireside in the farmhouse kitchen and receive a small Christmas decoration made by his elf helpers. See the decorated farmhouse with roaring fires and the nativity scene with Pudding the donkey. Land train rides will also be available during the day.

Please Note visitors may arrive from 10.00am however please be aware that the total duration of your experience is approx 1.5 hours, so you should consider arriving to coincide with your Santa Time Slot.  Specified hourly time slots are allocated to meet Santa any time within that one hour slot, which are as follows:

12.00pm - 1.00pm
1.00pm - 2.00pm

Please Note 2.00pm - 3.00pm and 3.00pm - 4.00pm slots are also available, but only at Shugborough, please contact the Hall directly to book these times.
